Bullfrog and Flat Ruthie- On the Road-Part 3 -Ft. Sumter and Sullivan’s Island Lighthouse

This is really Part Two and Real Ruth screwed up the order. Sorry Bullfrog.  Quite a trip you two are having.  Lighthouse gets a lot of hits as a tag I think.

– along I-85 between Greensboro, NC and Charlotte, NC
– crossing over the Cooper River / Charleston, SC Harbor on US Rte. 17

– Ft. Moultrie, Sullivans Island, SC

 – Ft. Sumter off in the distance   “Where the Civil War began….”

entrance to Ft. Moultrie   see the citadels

 FT. Moultrie National Historic Park

Civil War cannons inside the fort
Sullivan’s Island lighthouse

– time for a dip in the Atlantic Ocean

– Flat Ruthie’s new friends

  1. Ruthie’s made so many friends, upstanding citizens, furry and flat:)

  2. ChgoJohn says:

That Flat Ruthie is a Renaissance Flat! There she is, one moment tourist, another she’s the dog whisperer, and, as if that’s not enough, she rounds out her day standing in for a St. Christopher statue on the dashboard.

  3. Mad Dog says:

I seem to remember playing “A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers” to Flat Ruthie when she was in London by a 70’s band called Van Der Graff Generator – she seems to be hooked ;-)
